Mass Vaccination To Be Carried Out in Kazakhstan – Askar Mamin

The main task at the moment is to carry out mass vaccination in Kazakhstan.

Prime Minister Askar Mamin held a selector meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The current sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan is tense - the republic has entered the "high risk zone", 8 regions are in the "red zone": the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, Akmola, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions. 
About 1.5 thousand new cases are registered every day, the reproductive rate is 1.14. The workload of infectious beds is 31%, of intensive care beds - 20%. The domestic vaccine QazCovid-in is undergoing phase III clinical trials (preliminary efficiency - 96%). The Sputnik V vaccine is being certified. Mass vaccination of the population with the Sputnik V vaccine is scheduled to begin on February 1.
The Head of Government instructed the Ministry of Education and Science to ensure the release of a pilot batch of QazCovid-in vaccine on the basis of the Institute for Biological Safety Problems and a pilot industrial batch - at the production site of NPP Antigen LLP.

The Prime Minister instructed the akimats to complete the purchase of the necessary equipment for storing the vaccine and to ensure the complete readiness of vaccination points by February 1 of this year.
The Head of Government emphasized the need for special control over the safety of workers involved in anti-epidemic measures.

“Provision of vaccine production and mass vaccination of the population are the main tasks of the Government in the field of healthcare today,” A. Mamin said.
